• Foundation chain: Start with a chain that matches your desired blanket width. I did increase the size of mine and started with chaining 93.

• Stitches: Uses a double crochet (Dc) and triple front post (Trfp) stitch. These stitches are explained in the pattern, many videos are available as well.

• One skein rows: With the increased width that I made my blankets, each one skein row added 9 inches of length.

• Length choices: While the original pattern call for only 3 skeins of each alternating 2 colors, 6 total skeins. I made one of mine with 7 skeins and one with 8 skeins. Being 5'8" I really like the 8 skein blanket that covers all of me!
